OVERSEER

David Murray has been a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of Full Gospel Faith Miracle Cathedral
Churches Ltd (formerly Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God) for over 35 years. Growing up in the church shaped his life and deepened his love for God and His people.
Rev. Murray has been married to his wife Elysia for 30 years, and together they have been blessed with one son. His commitment to faith and family reflects his desire to live a life that honors God both in the home and in the wider community.
Throughout his ministry journey, Rev. Murray has served in numerous capacities including Youth President, Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer, and Elder. His passion is to build and strengthen the Kingdom of God by developing people, nurturing leaders, and encouraging believers in their walk with Christ.
While living in the Cayman Islands, Rev. Murray served in the New Testament Church of God as Secretary of the local Life Builders Men’s Ministry, Secretary and Vice President of the National Life Builders Ministry Board.
In 2020, he was invited to work with the Jamaica Bible Church, Cayman Islands - now Bible Church International Ministries - where he currently serves as Assistant Pastor.
Rev. Murray holds a degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s degree in Theology, and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. While His Christian walk has not always been smooth His life is anchored in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” He also lives by the words of his late overseer, Evelyn Minott: “A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins.”
Though his first loyalty is to his local church, Rev. Murray is not bound by denomination and has worked with various churches and ministries across traditions. He credits much of his spiritual growth to the mentorship of the late Overseer Evelyn Minott and Rev. Franklin Small. In his early years, he was also an active member of the Jamaica Youth for Christ movement, which helped lay the foundation for his lifelong dedication to ministry.
KEEPING THE FAITH
Keeping the faith in the church is a journey that requires dedication and perseverance. It is through the shared experiences, teachings, and community that we are able to nurture our spiritual growth. Each service, prayer, and fellowship offers us a chance to strengthen our belief and commitment to our faith. In times of uncertainty and doubt it is vital to remember the foundation of our beliefs.
The scriptures imparted by our leaders remind us that faith is not just about unwavering certainty but also trust and hope. Engaging with fellow members of the congregation can provide encouragement and reassurance, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. As we continue to navigate our spiritual path, let us remain open to the guidance of our faith. Embracing the teachings of the church can lead to an understanding of ourselves and our connection to the divine.

Together, we can uplift one another and keep our faith, fostering a vibrant community that thrives on love, and support.
